Dan’s practice encompasses the breadth of business disputes, including complex breach of contract claims, shareholder and partnership disputes and corporate oppression claims. Dan acts for corporations and individuals in resource sector litigation and real estate litigation matters including commercial landlord and tenant disputes.  Dan is actively involved as lead counsel in litigation involving public traded companies, whether it be in connection with proxy fights, corporate governance issues, take-over bids, insider trading, and internal investigations and other proposed corporate reorganizations.  Dan has considerable experience in employment litigation and actions both for and against stockbrokers and brokerage firms.  Dan has also acted in a number of franchise related disputes and has represented automobile dealers under the National Automobile Dealership Arbitration Program.

Dan has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, including in a range of matters on the Toronto Commercial List, before the Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, The Tax Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal.
